PIH Africa was founded by two pan-African leaders who share a conviction that stronger health systems begin with capable people, rigorous evidence, and bold strategy.

Yusuff Adebayo Adebisi

Yusuff Adebayo Adebisi

Co-founder · Director · Lead Researcher

Oxford University-trained epidemiologist and doctoral researcher at the University of Glasgow. Yusuff has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals on infectious disease epidemiology, tobacco harm reduction and smoking cessation, antimicrobial resistance, and global health policy.

His research has informed health systems discourse across Africa and beyond, and he leads the organisation's research agenda — translating evidence into policy that strengthens health systems across the continent.

Taiwo Olawehinmi

Taiwo Olawehinmi

Co-founder · Director · Lead Strategist

Healthcare and marketing strategist, and an Associate at McKinsey & Company. She holds an MBA from Vanderbilt University's Owen Graduate School of Management.

She leads the organisation's advisory practice, specialising in health communications, stakeholder engagement, and organisational strategy. Her work helps institutions across Africa translate vision into sustainable, well-governed programmes.
